Sevi’s Burritos has been around since 1981, serving plate sized burritos for a steal of a price.
Sevi’s is no hole in the wall, this family owned restaurant allows customers to seat themselves. The service is quick and the food is delicious. Every time I visit I am never disappointed.
The restaurant is clean, but you can see the age in the building its décor is what you would see in someone’s home. The wall behind the register features photographs of Severiana (Sevi) the first owner of the restaurant. It is obvious that her legacy is her amazing traditional and authentic Mexican recipes and her family pays homage to her craft by continuing to share her food with the Wichita Falls community. The other walls have several TVs and pictures of local cheerleaders, baseball players, and school bands.
There is plenty of seating. the place is always busy but not too busy for us to find a booth.
After taking our drink orders, we told the waiter we already knew what we wanted.
I always order the Beef Asada Supreme for $6.75, which includes beans, potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, guacamole and sour cream. I remove the tomatoes, guacamole, sour cream and add extra meat and extra cheese.
The waiter with a concerned look on his face asked, “have you guys been here before?” We simultaneously reply, “yes!” with a smile. Before going to tell our order to the lady chefs in the back he said, “I just wanted to make sure you guys knew how big they were.”
The burrito with all the trimmings is impossible for me to eat. However, I can eat a chipotle burrito in one setting. I usually finish with a little less than half left and am glad to save it for later.
They serve a large drink for $2.25 or a jumbo for $2.75, also another great deal.
Other than the burrito being as big as my face, the combination of flavors are delicious. Unlike other burrito places where the ingredients are stacked on top of each other, these burritos are perfectly mixed and explode with flavor.
This is the best burrito I have had in Wichita Falls. When I have a craving for a burrito, I will always choose Sevi’s over Fuzzy’s, Qdoba, and Chipotle. It is a great meal that can last through lunch and dinner.
