A group of men were escorted by MSU Police out of the Resident Housing Association’s (RHA) Mardi Gras event on Feb. 21.
Mardi Gras is a student ran event created as a way for student organizations to get involved with the rest of the MSU community. However, the event is not restricted to only students.
That evening, a group of men who were not students entered the event. These men were identified as YouTuber “RandoughBrando,” his camera man and another on-camera personality.
The group of men went around asking different women if they were single to escalating degrees. Randough then offered a group of girls Mardi Gras beads, and then asked if they knew the meaning behind the plastic beads.
The girls did not know, so Randough took it upon himself to explain the meaning.
“The beads mean like when you get them, you got to show your boobs. But you guys don’t have to do that. But that’s what it means,” Randough said.
A few students then reported the group to housing staff, who confronted the group and asked them to leave.

When the group refused, staff called MSU Police.
The group then complied, but not before going to different groups of students and “apologizing” for making them uncomfortable.
Students then cheered as they left the building.
MSU police informed the group that they were trespassed from campus and would be arrested if they returned.
Project specialist for Residence Life and Housing Avery Ondecheck had said that though she was not hyper involved in the incident, she felt both the students and other staff members handled it well.
“I am proud of the awareness our students demonstrated and how quickly they took action when something didn’t feel right,” Ondecheck said. “It is always encouraging to see Mustangs looking out for each other and helping to maintain a safe and supportive environment for everyone.”
