Shipley Kicks Off the Presidential Forums from MWSU Campus Watch on Vimeo.
Suzanne Shipley, the president of Shepherd University, was the first candidate introduced as a possible replacement for retiring university president Jesse Rogers.
Held a day later than originally schedule due to bad later and condensed into one public forum, Comanche Suite was packed with students, faculty, staff and community members all eager to ask questions.
For about 60 minutes, Shipley, also the president of the Council of Public Liberal Art Colleges, answered questions like how she’ll keep traditions going, how she will enhance MSU as a liberal arts college and if she would support bringing in new programs.
Shipley said she is nervous but prepared to take up the role of president after Rogers.
