Among the thousands of fans attending the football game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington was one official attending his last festival game in official capacity.
Jesse Rogers seemed pleased with the 42 to 17 victory of the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds on Sept. 20.
“Well it won’t be the last time I’ve watched one of our teams play here, our football team because Midwestern State will always be my favorite sports team,” University President Jesse Rogers said.
Some fans at the fourth annual Lone Star Conference Football Festival acknowledge Rogers’s past thirteen years as president.
“I think that Mr. Rogers has done a lot for this school. I think that he has shown us a lot of great things in his time being here,” a freshman biology Tim Torres says.
Rogers retires in 2015 with a total of fourteen years as university president.
