As students are finishing up their projects for the Enhancing Undergraduate Research Endeavors and Creative Services forum on Nov. 22, they had the opportunity to meet up one more time with the director of undergraduate research office, Magaly Rincon-Zachary, to discuss how the forum will operate and to have any last minute questions answered.
Only around 15 students attended this meeting even though many more students will be participating at the forum.
“We have for, during the process of abstract submission, 64 students are participating in the forum next Friday, that’s total,” Rincon-Zachary said.
Although not many people came to the meeting, Rincon-Zachary said she was expecting at least half of the 64 students to attend.
Students involved in undergraduate research programs like Eureka and UGROW are not the only people participating, Richard Rizan and his group are participating in the forum for another reason.
” What we’re doing is presenting our senior capstone project for mechanical engineering and just giving the benefits and the research so far we’ve accomplished with that,” Rizan said.
There will only be two types of presentations at the forum, Rincon-Zachary said, there will be 14 oral presentations and 16 poster presentations.
The forum will be in the Clark Student Center from 9 am until 5 pm.
