Family Day 2013 was in full swing on campus Oct. 5. Hundreds of students and their families enjoyed a day of fun in the quad where more than five activites were being held.
“I love it. I love how everything is set up, how’s there’s things for little kids to do, the music’s playing, and there’s hot dogs, I think it’s great, I’m having a lot of fun,” Freshman, nursing major Cassie Jarrett said.
More than 5 events were offered to keep everyone entertained for the day. Lines were long for the three inflatable courses and the caricature artists, but, other events like face painting, a table to eat hot dogs, an ice cream social, and a movie at the end of the day kept people busy.
Although there was also a live DJ, some would have liked to hear live music.
“If there was like a live band that would be pretty cool, or maybe like some more people like entertainment or people performing, that’d be pretty cool,” Jarrett said.
Family Day 2013 came to an end with some tailgating events right before the first home football game.
