Cozy crafts and cinema didn’t go as planned

The University Programming Board held a “cozy crafts and cinema” event on Nov. 15.

Gracie Payne, math education junior, said, “I decided to come to the event because my co-worker told me about it. [The event] sounded fun and I wanted to come out and support her.”

The event was supposed to consist of decorating cookies, making crafts, and watching the movie Sixteen Candles. The UPB had to end the event early because of recurring problems, in the Legacy Multipurpose Room.

When asked about coming to another event such as this, Payne said, “I would still come to an event like this again because I had fun and was able to enjoy myself.”

The event started at 8:30 p.m. with people shuffling through the line grabbing hot chocolate and cookies. The crafts and cookies portion lasted until about 9:15 p.m.
