The UPB Host performance by comedian Chico Bean from Wild ‘N’ Out TV show at Clark Student Center at 8 p.m. Oct. 23.

Eduardo Castañeda, nursing freshman, said, “It was really good the man spoke about the truth of every day college with lessons and things we will experience at some point here at school but he talked to us in a way we would pay attention with the way we usually talk ourselves.”

Students arrived an hour ahead to get seats for the show.

Ruby Arriaga, student involvement activities coordinator, said more than 500 chairs had been set up before the event and many more had to be brought in because of the amount of students that arrived.

“I really enjoyed watching a celebrity comedian attend this school, he made really funny jokes about this school that were true such as how hidden it is in Texas, I believe bringing a person like that can get more students to get involved in events, also I heard it was packed an hour before it started so when I walked in I could not believe how full it was, it was a very fun and hilarious experience,” Oscar Uriel Castillo, mechanical engineering freshman, said.
