Delayed stage construction hinders theater rehearsals

While preparing for the first production of the year, a mixed cast of 12 theater students, faculty and professional actors had to work around an unfinished stage while preparing for the opening night of the first play of the year August: Osage County.
The Fain Theater was empty of workers Thursday after they were sent of the work site. Facilities Director David Percy said that the floor installation was not good enough. What flooring has been installed will be removed. The current contractors will finish encapsulating the asbestos and another company will be hired to install the theather floor. The construction was supposed to be finished by the first day of classes and will be pushed back two more weeks. Photo by Lauren Roberts
