Midwestern State University police are investigating an alleged sexual assault that happened Thursday night on-campus.

In a Postmaster sent Friday morning, MSU Chief of Police Patrick Coggins states the assault happened in the Prothro—Yeager parking lot at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6.

“The victim is a non-student who met the student suspect through a dating app.” the Postmaster stated. “The male suspect has been identified and the MSU Texas Police Department continues to investigate.”
