According to number four in the article, planning is the key to life. Planning ahead when homework is due, taking the time ahead to study for an exam, and preparing for complications getting in the way. An example would be work, a co-worker didn’t show up for the shift and the manager asks if it could be covered. Students are focused on earning money and decide to stay.

“I try to get all assignments finished way ahead of schedule, so I have more free time in case sometime were to come up like getting called into work and I have more time to study for upcoming tests,” Jadin Casto, nursing freshman, said. “My free time is less than 10 hours a day and I manage my free time by preparing homework to be done ahead of time while I work at night.”
