Your classmates “SOUND-OFF”
“No, because you don’t know the criminal history of peoples’ backgrounds. I understand if authorities have it, but not if faculty, students or staff. It would make people feel very panicky and it would change the environment of the school. Only police should have guns.” |
“Only the security should be allowed to carry guns for the safety of the students and faculty. Other than that no guns should be allowed on campus because students would be endangered with guns. If all students had guns they would just pull them out to show off, the gun could go off without them knowing.” |
“I lean more towards no because it’s a school. It wouldn’t make me feel any less safe or any more safe if I know they had their license and they carried a gun. You typically think of a school as a safe place. If you have your license and you want to carry a gun, do it.” |
“No, it’s not safe because particularly if the person has anger issues. If they were to have a gun they would retaliate in any sort of way just based on the past. It’s a prime example of what would happen if guns were allowed. Problems like that would escalate.” |
