More than 20 students attended a drunk relay activity as part of Safe Spring Break, March 15 at 4 p.m. in the Killingsworth green space.

Participants had to wear goggles, which simulated what it was like to be drunk,  while attempting various activities.

Students partnered up to step-toe walk from the first cone to the second, then ran and jumped from the second to third cone. They then ran around the third cone and caught a tennis ball from their partner at the second cone.

Lastly, they ran to their partner, high-fived them and traded places to see which pair could complete the activity the fastest.

The winners chose their favorite pre-selected gift cards.

Jorge Santos, undecided freshman and Norma Nieto, exercise physiology junior, won first place. Santos, said, “beating everyone was the funnest thing.”

Safe Spring Break activities include water pong at 8:30 p.m. in Pierce Residence Hall on  March 16 and Club Pierce at Mustangs Walk on March 17 at 8 p.m. 

Students are encouraged to take part in these activities prior to spring break to stay informed and implement the safety lessons learned when engaging in these activities.
