With a wide variety of craft beers and live entertainment, the Wichita Falls Rotary North Club will be hosting its second annual brew fest at the J.S. Bridwell Agricultural Center May 2. Proceeds from the Tornado Alley Brew Fest 2015 benefit the Wichita Falls Chapter of Disabled American Veterans and local volunteer fire departments.
“It’s an event for beer lovers to come out and try all the different types of beers we have to offer” said, Doug Parker, event staff. “ We want people to come out and have a good time, but safety is our number one priority and we encourage designated drivers.”
Bryce Cross, criminal justice senior, said, he could not wait go because he is an avid beer drinker.
“I’m going for the beer, my friends and I love to drink beer on our down time,” Cross said. “I heard there will be over 20 types of beers.”
Bobby Segler, engineering junior, said, he wants to go to try out something new.
“This will be the second time this event has taken place in Wichita and I didn’t get to go last year. It’s something new. I figured I’d give it a chance and there’s going to be beer there, I can’t complain.”
