The opening reception for “An Abundance of Riches: Woodcuts of Andrea Rich” will be held Feb. 19 from 6-8 p.m. at the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU.
The exhibition features woodcuts of wildlife Rich has encountered in places such as Disney World, Alaska, California, Madagascar and Australia. The pieces are drawn from Rich’s repository which includes an example of every woodcut Rich has made since the mid 1980s.
“Whenever possible I try to see my wild subjects in their natural habitat,” Rich said in the description panel of her piece ‘Lion Tamarins.’
The exhibition will run until April 4 and admission is free.
