In addition to road signs being installed in preparation for the new year, workers with facility services have been hanging new banner around campus, something the university does each fall.
Julie Gaynor, director of marketing and public information said, “It’s always exciting to see the new banners to mark the beginning of a new school year.”
The banners cost about $5,000, something Gaynor said includes replacing the existing banners, replacement banners and brackets as needed.
“The material we use is extremely durable and holds up well against the elements. Cheaper materials require that we replace the banners at around the six-month mark. With this material we are able to replace only annually,” she said.
