The men’s tennis team competed in a two-day tournament from March 6-7 against Doane and Ferris State, winning 9-0 against Doane and 7-2 against Ferris State.
In a press release issued on March 6, “Midwestern State snapped a two-match losing skid Monday afternoon as the Mustangs made their return home with a 9-0 blanking of NAIA Doane (Nebraska) at the MSU Tennis Center. Midwestern State (3-3) coasted to a 3-0 advantage in doubles play, dropping just two games in the process. With an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles, senior Ramon Toyos moved into a tie for 10th on the all-time wins list with his 101st career dual victory.”
The women’s tennis team beat Tarleton State University 9-0 on March 7 in the Lone Star Conference opener. The women’s team is ranked No. 21 and “handed No. 11 Southwest Baptist its first loss Saturday afternoon with a 5-4 victory” according to a press release on March 4.
