Kangudja, Green wins Black Excellence Pageant

Who?

The winner for Ms. Black Excellence was Jamilah Kangudja, exercise physiology sophomore, and the winner for Mr. Black Excellence was Simon Green, sports and leisure junior.

Charles Quaye, dental hygiene sophomore, was the runner-up for Mr. Black Excellence, and Latoya Fondren, mass communication junior, was the runner-up for Ms. Black Excellence.

Members from The Black Student Union organized the event.

Why?

The event was originally scheduled during Black History Month to showcase the students who are poised, confident, ambitious and all-around beautiful people representing the culture in style and grace; however, due to bad weather, the event was postponed to Thursday, April 5, 2018.
