During mens basketball first exhibition game win of 85-79 over Mid-America Christian at D.L. Ligon Coliseum Oct. 30. Kevin Wagner, undecided junior, and DeJuan Plummer, senior in general studies, double team the MACU point-guard at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. The mustangs won their last exhibition game against Langston University Nov. 4 89-56. They will be playing in the Southwestern Oklahoma State Classic this weekend in OK.

Keidrick Jackson, senior in criminal justice, celebrates after a touchdown in the second quarter. MSU would defeat the University of West Alabama in a rout of 45-21 October 19 at Memorial Stadium. Jackson rushed for 136 yards and had three touchdowns becoming MSUs all-time leading rusher with 3,596 yards. MSU plays at Angelo State October 26 with kickoff at 6 p.m.

On Oct. 19, Agunbiade fought in the King of the Cage World Amateur Championship in Las Vegas, the first event of its kind, where he was narrowly defeated by judges’ decision, against Canadian fighter Justin Sander.
Ashley Flores, senior in sociology and Gabby Ruiz, junior in nursing, finished the race hand-in-hand each covering the 6k course in 23:16.60 in the Cross country carnival on Oct. 12. The cross-country team placed 1st-7th, getting a perfect score of 15, winning the MSU Cross Country Carnival team title. Flores said, We were having good pace and it was really good. So we just finished together.
