Twenty-one cast members. Five understudies. One Urinetown.

A satirical comedy musical titled “Urinetown” will be put on by the theater department this spring. This musical is famous for satirizing the legal system, social irresponsibility, corporate mismanagement, municipal politics, populism and bureaucracy. The musical first debuted in 2001 at the New York International Fringe Festival and then moved to Off-Broadway at the American Theater for Actors. The musical was written and produced in a combined effort from both Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis. They were then taught the four-part harmonies to the first song they learned.
