For six days before the first day of classes, events ranging from Pokémon Go hunting to soccer tailgate parties were coordinated by the Office of Student Development and Orientation to create Mustangs Roundup Week. It was designed specifically for entering undergraduates as a unique extended orientation series from the freshmen MORE sessions during the summer.

The goal of Roundup was to help students and make freshmen feel more comfortable on campus, as sophomore geoscience and peer counselor Adanna Okage said.

Freshman accounting Katy Meadows said Roundup has helped her so far.

“Roundup made me go out and make friends and meet new people,” Meadows said.
