At the 2015 CaribFest Pageant, Jorrey Martin, special education sophomore, was named Miss CaribFest 2015. The pageant was held in Akin Auditorium and started at 7:25 p.m. and was about a quarter of the way full with about 100 people, but was almost a full house by the end of it with close to 300 people.
The contestants were:
- Kornika Degannes, finance junior
- Joslyn Le Blanc, biology sophomore
- Bobbi Rivers, nursing sophomore
- Larissia Gumbs, psychology sophomore
- Jorrey Martin, special education sophomore
The pageant consisted of six segments:
- The first segment was not judged and was called the ice breaker portion, where the girls would go introduce themselves into the festive Caribbean outfits.
- The second was the talent portion that was worth 40 points and each contestant had five minutes to perform.
- The third was the swimsuit wear portion which each girl ad two minutes to model their swim wear, that was worth 40 point.
- The fourth was the personality portion, which was a new segment they added, that was worth 30 points and each contestant had two minutes to perform. Each girl had to interpret in their own way the word commitment and what they thought it meant.
- The fifth was the was the evening wear segment, that was worth 30 points.
- The last segment was the interview segment, that was worth 40 points, where each contestant was asked a question from a bio they had submitted about themselves earlier.
