Cam Adderly dribbles past Thomas Diaz. Adderly scored a game high 17 points,  grabbed five rebounds and dished out four assists. 

The men’s basketball program walked out of D.L. Ligon Coliseum with a big 20-point victory over Texas A&M-Kingsville on Feb. 2, outscoring the Javelinas 79-59. 

The Mustangs’ bench provided a huge spark for the team, scoring 36 of the team’s total points. Derek Kaster led all players off the bench with 14 points and eight rebounds. 

The Mustangs extended their Lone Star Conference lead to two games ahead of second place Cameron with the victory. They now stand at 10-2 in the LSC and 14-5 overall.

Kirsti Degelia contributed six points, five assists and three blocks. The women’s basketball program continued its winning ways Saturday in the second of two home games played during the weekend. The Lady Mustangs’ bench once again paced them to victory as they picked up a 61-42 victory over Texas A&M-Kingsville. 
Non-starters produced 31 of the team’s total points. Lisa Hampton led all players in scoring with a career-high 17 points shooting five-for-seven from behind the 3-point line. 
Andrea Carter contributed 11 points of her own, as well as grabbing nine rebounds and three steals. The Lady Mustangs improve to 11-2 in the Lone Star Conference, with a 16-3 overall record.
