I’d hasten to point out that this is far from the first national championship Midwestern has ever won. The first national championship was won by Alberti Vasquez in 1994. Since then, 21 other MSU Cyclists have stood atop the podium at a national championship a total of 34 times. I’d also point out that the cycling team is the only D1 sport on campus–UT, OU, A&M, Tech, LSU, & Arkansas are our conference rivals. We haven’t lost a conference race in 3 years, and we are conference champions 8x in a row. Jessica Prinner, a 2014 graduate, won 5 national titles in her final two years at MSU.
